Barlow Township is located in Western Washington County, Ohio, approximately ten miles west of Marietta, Ohio.

The township is managed by three trustees and a fiscal officer who are elected by the citizens of Barlow Township. The trustees’ main responsibility is the maintenance of township roads and ditches. They also provide fire protection, snow removal, and care for cemeteries.
